• Math: Correlate numerals to quantities; understand the calendar & daily schedules; two & three dimensional figures; spatial relationships; patterns & data using pictures, objects and graphs.

• Science: Students use their senses to classify common materials & objects based on motion; understand the impact of gravity; recognize patterns of day & night; identify attributes of rocks & soil; distinguish between living & non-living organisms.

• Reading & Language Arts: Distinguish upper & lower case letters, words and sentences; rhyming and high frequency words; develop phonological awareness; learn to write numbers & letters; sentence structure with proper capitalization & punctuation; develop phonological awareness; read grade-level text with appropriate fluency & expression; recite poems, stories and rhymes; communicate using proper subject-verb agreement.

• Social Studies: Introduction to U.S. history; study important U.S. holidays & symbols; local geography & history.
