• Math: Continued understanding of whole numbers, decimals & fractions; focus on geometry (circumference, vertices, sides & angles); introduction to algebra and data analysis.

• Science: Focus on data interpretation & analysis; design & perform experiments; construct hypotheses on the basis of observation & measurements; explore features of the earth; physical & chemical changes; electricity & circuits; magnets and electro-magnets; behavior & inherent traits; cells & micro-organisms.

• Reading & Language Arts: Students produce persuasive essays (compare/contrast and expository) and written responses to literature; engaging presentation skills are developed; the eight basic parts of speech are reinforced; the structures to various types of literature are explored; consistent emphasis on proper writing.

• Social Studies: Explore American history from the Civil War through modern times; study major events, important people and the impact of that time period.
